Oro Sports co-founder, Luanne DiBernardo, first started prototyping and testing cooling wearables in 2009 with her brother, a former DKNY designer with heat intolerance due to a chronic condition. I am a 66-year old grandmother, who walks for exercise. I live in the piedmont of N.C. where the heat and humidity are oppressive in summer. Additionally I take a medication which makes me feel “overheated”. The Oro Vestino has been a satisfying “answer” for me in finding a way to exercise in comfort on our hot days. Even with the ice pack in place, the Vestino is light, very comfortable, and easy to adjust. I also find that if I wear the Vestino in the house while doing chores or sewing, I am able to remain comfortable with the air conditioning set several degrees higher.
