FAQs
What is the difference between active and passive cooling mattress pads?
Passive cooling mattress pads use specialized fabrics (such as bamboo or Outlast) or gel-infused foam to absorb heat and provide a cooler surface. Active cooling systems, such as Mattress Cooler products, use a motorized unit to circulate chilled water through a network of micro-tubing inside the pad. Active systems offer much more powerful, consistent temperature control and allow you to set a specific "chilled" temperature, whereas passive pads rely on your room’s ambient temperature to stay effective.
What are the primary benefits of using cooling bedding?
Cooling bedding provides several key advantages that go beyond just feeling "cold" when you first climb into bed. By utilizing advanced moisture-wicking fabrics and heat-dissipating technologies, these products help create a consistent sleep environment that leads to deeper, more restorative rest.
