I keep mine in the freezer in the hot summer and use it when I want to ride my tryke around the neighborhood. I put it on over a thin tshirt, then put a larger tshirt on over it. But there is no way it keeps you cool for 2 hours. My bike ride is 40 minutes, and about the time I get home, it is no longer cool.
The channels of gel just aren’t that large, so within 40 minutes it has warmed up to your body. If I were going to be out longer or all day, I’d take 2 vests and an ice chest of ice to keep one in while wearing the other, then switch off.
