AlphaCool Cooling Neck Gaiter (2-pack)

The neck gaiter, headband and face mask configurations all work well in real use. The hood configuration is a bit loose on my head and doesn't stay in place during movement. For stationary activities the hood is fine. I stick to the other configurations for active use. Four configurations that work well is still a strong product.

I coach youth soccer in summer and the neck gaiter configuration keeps me cool on the sideline while the face mask pull-up gives me sun protection during the full day tournament sessions. Both gaiters come to every game day. My assistant coach asked for his own 2-pack after seeing mine.

I sent both gaiters with my kids for summer day camp. Their counselors loved the cooling activation and the kids use them as headbands, neck gaiters and face masks depending on the activity. The 2-pack means one each for my two kids. Durable enough to survive camp use without falling apart.

Soak it, wear it, feel cool. That part works. My honest issue is for active physical work the cooling fades in about 30 minutes as body heat and movement accelerate the evaporation. For casual walking or sitting at an outdoor event it lasts longer. For hard outdoor labor the 30-minute window means constant re-soaking which is impractical. The multi-function wear is nice but cooling duration limits real-world utility for demanding work.

Before washing both gaiters fit well and covered my neck properly. After the first machine wash both shrank enough that the fit is now tighter and the neck gaiter configuration doesn't pull over my head as easily. I should have read the care instructions more carefully — cold gentle wash is clearly specified. My own fault but worth warning others who might make the same mistake.
