Staying Cool and Combating Heat Stress: TechNiche International has the solutions you need to beat the heat while at work, rest and play. About HyperKewl™:

  • HyperKewl™ fabric absorbs, stores and releases water within the multi-layered material. Water is released through evaporation, energy is consumed, and a chill effect is created. Our HyperKewl™ fabric actually cools the body exactly the same way the body cools itself through evaporation. Users can expect the evaporative cooling fabric to provide temperature sthat are 15 - 20 degrees cooler than the ambient temperature, depending on airflow.

    How to Use:
  • To activate our evaporative cooling products, simply submerge the item in water for 1-2 minutes allowing the HyperKewl™ fabric to absorb the water. Gently squeeze out any excess water, wipe dry and the garment is ready to wear. The garment will remain activated for hours and can be re-hydrated by following these simple steps. Evaporative Cooling Benefits:
    • Cost-effective personal cooling solution
    • Provides extended relief from heat fatigue and heat stress
    • Lightweight, durable and non-toxic
    • Easy to activate
    • Re-usable
    • Offers hours of cooling relief and protection

HyperKewl Evaporative Cooling: This simple and effective technology works by combining water with our HyperKewl Fabric to create garments that gradually release water through evaporation to keep you cool, but comfortable. Typical applications include industrial safety, construction, emergency services, military, outdoor recreation, athletics, motorcycling and equine.

Extremely useful and effective

My husband used both this beanie and a cooling vest on a day that we spent in 90+ degree weather in Washington DC. His assessment was that this beanie was what saved the day for him. He has suffered from severe heat prostration in similar situations. He wore this cap under a broad-brimmed ventilated hiking hat, and while he had to re-wet it after a few hours, it kept him cooler than he believed was possible under those circumstances. We were concerned he would not be able survive this day of pounding the hot pavement in the City with no shade, but other than sore feet he felt fine at the end.
  • Does not need to be refrigerated or frozen before use. This was important since we were staying in a hotel the night before we needed to use this.
  • Had to be re-wetted after several hours, but that was not a problem.

Great cooling beanie

I bought several cooling beanies to wear under my riding hard hat. This one is great when the heat index nears 100 - I use it instead of the normal hard hat liner. I highly recommend it and I'm telling all my barn friends to get one

Beat the Heat
August 4, 2017
I got the beanie to use under my bike and horse helmets but when we had to unload 11,000 pounds of hay with the temp at 100 and the heat index at 109, my husband and I wore them for the first time to see if they worked. I didn't expect them to keep us cool at temps like that but they certainly helped. I can't wait to try it under my helmets. (Not a pretty picture but unloading hay is not glamorous.)
  • Great fit and easy to use.
  • It was thicker than I thought it would be.
